Want A Book Reviewed Online?

As you may have noticed, I write book reviews. If you are an author or publisher and would like your book reviewed, I will do so in exchange for a free copy. I am willing to review both independent and traditional authors. However, you would do well to note what I am and am not interested in reading first.

I am interested in evangelical Christianity, the Bible,  Christian living, discipleship, theology, and missiology. I will gladly accept academic books on any of those subjects. Other non-fiction works that interest me are history, politics, leadership, religion, and biography. If you have anything related to early US history, American Civil War, British history, church history (mainly related to the expansion of Christianity), or American presidential politics, I would be very interested. In fiction, I am interested in Sci-Fi, fantasy, historical fiction, and mystery. If you think your poetry is interesting and well-written, I will read that as well.

However, there are certain things that no matter how good you think it is, I have no interest in reading. They are:

  • Romance (with my wife, yes–but I am not interested in anyone else’s)
  • Erotica (don’t bother asking me to read it)
  • Anything that tears down any group of people (I don’t mind reading why you may disagree with the ideas and opinions of others–but I am not interested in attacks, snark, and bashing of others)
  • Conspiracy theories
  • Amish Romance (Just no–for the sake of all that is good in this world, no)
  • Paranormal Romance (Ugh!)
  • Perhaps you’ve noticed the pattern–NO ROMANCE!
  • Slasher Horror

With those parameters in mind, if you would like to submit something to me for review, please contact me through a message on twitter. My twitter handle is @randy_rkj1990. You may also leave a comment with your contact information below. Please give me a brief synopsis and the number of pages. If I have time to read it, I will let you know how to get the book to me. I am will read it in either print or electronic format. You do not have to pay me anything. I only ask for a free copy and the freedom to give an honest review, good or bad.

  3. My name is Nicolas Amazing and I just wrote and published my first book, The Way of Amazing. I was hoping to get your honest opinion and review on my book. I don’t have much to offer in return. I am new to asking for a review and am learning as a go.

The Way of Amazing is a self-help book with poetry about helping people find the amazing person in themselves by discussing what their passion is, the type of person they are, what motivates them, and their attitude and perspective on life. I also talk about my thoughts and theories on society, relationships, people, and how to make the world a better place.

My book is aimed toward my age group, 18 – 28 year olds, and the main demographic is the average American young person who isn’t quite sure what they want to do with their life yet. My book is only 68 pages long and consists of 5 poems that I personally wrote as introductions to certain chapters in the book.

My book is very interactive. There are some questions and activities that the readers can do. However, the questions and activities are all optional and the reader doesn’t have to answer the questions or do the activities if they don’t want to. Also, there aren’t as many activities in the E-Book as there are in the Paperback book but the questions will still be there for people to answer.

The Way of Amazing is only 68 pages. and I made it that way as it appeals to the demographic that I am going for.

What I truly believe is that my book will inspire anyone who reads it to find the courage to do what they want to do with their life or change something about themselves for the better. Anyone who picks up my book and reads what I have written can benefit from my it and hopefully, it gives them the courage to change their lives.

It is currently available on both Createspace and Amazon.com in both Paperback and E-Book format.

    My E-book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ICO6PD6

Thank you for your consideration and I hope you read and can benefit from my book.

  5. Hello Randy,

Have I contacted you before? I ask because when I clicked this box the three boxes below were automatically populated. If I have, please accept my apologies.

I note you ask for a free copy in return for a review, which doesn’t seem unreasonable. Unfortunately, my stories, “The Red Grouse Tales” – four intriguing novella length contemporary folk stories, which contain a hint of the supernatural, together with more than a passing nod towards philosophy and religion – are, at present, only available in Kindle format on Amazon. My guess is that you are probably thinking of a free hard copy and that a simple kindle download doesn’t quite fit the bill! If this is the case and you are not interested, fair enough.

Before you completely write me off though, you might wish to have a look at my website where you will find more information on both the background to my stories and myself. Obviously I am hoping the kindle download won’t be a problem, but understand if it is.

    Hoping to hear from you.

    Leslie Garland.

    1. Would it be possible for you to send me a free copy for Kindle? If so, let me know how I can contact you and I will send you details? You can message me through twitter if you have a twitter account.

  6. Hello!

I am a first-time author from India and have recently released my first ever Science Fiction book on Amazon (ok, technically it’s a short story). It would be great for me if you could take the time to review it and feature it on your blog.

The book, “Hired”, is about the last interview our protagonist, Sam, will ever face. He will either get the job of looking after the Ultimate ruler of Earth, or lose his life. However, both Sam and the ruler, a supremely intelligent artificial being called Alpha 1, have secrets up their sleeves.

In this book, I also explore the question about whether a Utopia can ever be absolute and what is the true dynamic of the relationship between Humans and AI which has now surpassed. The book is about 3.5k words long (about 13 pages)

If you would like to review it, kindly let me know and I will send you a pdf of the book. I would love an honest review from you!

Thanks a lot, hoping to hear from you soon!

  7. Dear Mr. Jackson:

Good day. We would like to submit the following book for review consideration. We can supply print, ePub or Mobi.

    Thank you.

    THE REMNANT

    by William Michael Davidson

    One nation, without God…

Colton Pierce apprehends Abberants—those who display symptoms of faith—and quarantines them on a remote island to ensure public safety. Years prior, the government released a genetically-engineered super flu that destroyed the genes believed to be the biological source of spiritual experience in an effort to rid the world of terrorism. As an extractor with the Center for Theological Control, Colton is dedicated to the cause.

But Colton’s steadfast commitment is challenged when he learns his own son has been targeted for extraction. An underground militia, the Remnant, agrees to help Colton save his son in exchange for his assistance with their plan to free the Aberrants on the island.

Colton is faced with the most important decision of his life. Does he remain faithful to the CTC? Or trust the Remnant and give up everything to save his son?

  8. If I say the name, “Lot,” what picture comes to your mind? If you’re like many Christians, I suspect it’s a villain or a fool, at best. And the Genesis narrative can easily be read that way. So why did the Apostle Peter describe Lot as a “righteous man” who “was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard?”

I don’t have a simple one sentence answer to that question. **Spoiler Alert** Instead I wrote a historical fiction titled, “Long Road Out of Ur.” My hope is that readers will see that the God of the Old Testament is full of love, compassion and grace for rebels like Lot and me, just as He is in the New Testament.

I would love for you to review my book. It’s 396 pages and I would be happy to send you a PDF file if you are interested. I can be reached at ———–. Thanks for your consideration.

    Sincerely,

    Joel Thimell
